Troubleshooting Tips and Great Method

A friend of mine gave me this method for troubleshooting that is simple, but it's efficient and streamlines the process so you aren't doing the same thing twice or having to retrace your steps.

What you want to do is start from wall and head towards the computer. Start with the power cables and make sure that everything has power. Then you check the connections of all the wires to and from your devices and everything else outside the computer itself.

From there you make sure all the connections to the computer are working. It's only after all this that you go into your computer and fiddle around with the software. (IE device drivers and such)

And there's a simple streamlined method to troubleshooting equipment to make the best use of your time and energy and makes sure you aren't doing anything you don't have to and aren't missing anything. I hope this helps you out. Thanks for reading!
