Virus and Spyware Solutions

Unless you are extremely careful about what you do on the internet, chances are you've gotten a virus or been infected with spyware. The usually ways to get these things is through use of the internet and interfacing your computer with another infected one. In this respect, computers are very organic. In this article I'll give you some ways to know if you have a virus or spyware, some ways to fix them, and a few preventative measures.

Indications of infection

Massive slowdown:

It's not unusual for your computer to slow down a bit over time, but if it gets to the point of being noticeable, you probably got something you don't want on your computer.

Pop-ups:

If you aren't even on the internet and pop-up windows are harassing you all the time with advertisements or other unwanted content, you got some spyware and will probably want to get rid of it.

Programs not loading:

Some mean viruses will actually mess with your system and prevent programs from loading, or causing your software to do some other thing that generally isn't appreciated. In this case you got a big one and need to get it out as soon as you can.

What to do when infected (or before!)

Try free scanners:

There are lots of free virus and spyware scanners out there. I've listed a few here that you can download:

for spyware: Ad Aware, SUPER Antispyware professional, Spybot, windows defender

for virii: AVG, Avast
